As authorized at the Post 2259 Membership Meeting, 20 November, 2004, application are being taken for the formation of the VFW Post 2259 Men's Auxiliary. The following conditions apply to all applicants:

1.) Applicant must be the HUSBAND, WIDOWER, FATHER, GRANDFATHER, SON, GRANDSON BROTHER OR HALF-BROTHER of a Veteran who, by his/her service, is ELIGIBLE FOR MEMBERSHIP IN THE VETERANS OF FOREIGN WARS OF THE UNITED STATES (the sponsoring veterans dose not have to be a member of the VFW, only eligible for membership).

2) The applicant must supply a completed APPLICATION FOR MEMBERSHIP in the Men's Auxiliary, supply proof of eligibility as outlined in # 1 above (such proof in the form of a DD 214 or Military Separation papers of the eligible veteran) and the first year's annual dues, as outlined below. Applications for membership are provided below or can be obtained by the Canteen Server on duty.

3.) The applicant must pay, in the form of cash, check or money order, the first annual dues of $30.00 (thirty and no/100 dollars); checks/money orders payable to VFW Post 2259. First year's dues are established by the VFW Department of Arkansas, $20.00 per member is paid by Post 2259 to the Department of Arkansas with the remaining $10.00 per member retained by the Treasurer of the VFW Post 2259 Men's Auxiliary.

4.) The first 25 plus eligible Applicants will be Charter Members of the VFW Post 2259 Men's Auxiliary and as such will have their names permanently listed on the Original Charter as issued by the Veterans of Foreign Wars National Headquarters.

5.) Following the issuance of the National Charter, the initial meeting of the VFW Post 2259 Men's Auxiliary will be conducted and Auxiliary Offices will be elected for the remainder of the 2004-2005 VFW year (all Officer terms/appointments expire at the end of the Department of Arkansas Convention in June, 2005).
